Film Permanent Paper ApplicationsPermanent Papers were designed with the commercial printer in mind. These products are very tough and durable, making it possible for printers to directly print items that are strong, waterproof and extremely fade-resistant, without the need for lamination or secondary encapsulation. Thanks to their toughness and flexibility, Permanent Papers are suitable for producing a huge range of long life items for indoor or outdoor use, using either digital or traditional printing technology, or even a combination of both. Unlike other synthetic papers that are manufactured from polyethylene or polypropylene, ICI Permanent Papers have a melt temperature of 250°C – enabling them to tolerate the high temperatures associated with laser printing. This also means they can be used in very hot or very cold conditions, for instance they would be equally at home in the sauna or freezer.
