Thermally Stabilised Film Applications
The use of filmic substrates in printed circuitry is developing at an enormous pace, exploiting the durability, flexibility and thermal stability of these light-weight, low cost materials. The ever-increasing complexity and miniaturisation of printed circuitry places increasing demands on the stability of the substrate, particularly where registration of multi-layer assemblies is a requirement.
Typical applications include touch screen displays, membrane switches, consumer and industrial electronics and medical diagnostic consumables. Stabilised PET is also predicted to replace Silicon for advanced flexible circuitry in the next few years.
