Thermally Stabilised Film TechnologyPET film is the material of choice for many applications within the electronics industry. In its unstabilised state however, it exhibits anisotropic thermal shrinkage which can result in unacceptable levels of thermal distortion and associated mechanical stress of the circuitry during the high temperature curing of printed inks, or during end use. ICI Imagedata's Thermal Stabilisation process reduces this shrinkage to a fraction of the inherent levels and significantly reduces the directional differential. The resulting product enables enhanced consistency, reliability and yields in its downstream processing and end-use.
